At our clinic we carry out many cosmetic treatments including veneers, crowns and whitening treatments.
Veneers:
A veneer is a thin layer of porcelain that is bonded onto the tooth after having prepared it. The veneers are placed only so that they cover the visible parts of the teeth. They are often used in the front of the mouth on the most visible teeth where there is a wish to change the aspect of the teeth along with preserving as much of the tooth substance as possible.
Whitening:
By using a special whitening gel that is activated using a special lamp, we can whiten teeth over 3-4 sessions of 15min.
After the whitening procedure it is necessary to follow a specific diet avoiding certain food and drinks with dark colouring for the first 24 hours. This is due to the fact that the teeth can be more susceptible to colouring within the first 24 hours after the procedure.
Although it is uncommon, some sensitivity may occur during the first 24 hours after the whitening procedure. This can be alleviated by a pain killer or by chewing flouride chewing gum.
